The Heart of Mission Trail Park

We are your neighbors in Carmel who believe we must not sell the Flanders property, the heart of our park:

  • Because preserving it saves trails, views and open space – why exchange them for walls and fences?
  • Because the city has an obligation to the public to "preserve and acquire parkland". It's right there in the General Plan.
  • Because the city doesn’t need the money, with millions in reserve. And we should not raise temporary cash by selling precious assets.
  • Because keeping the property will cost us nothing. Several groups and individuals have offered to restore and maintain it at no expense.

Remember to save the park by voting No on Measure "I" - and by spreading the word to your friends!
